Background information for Ohio State’s Drainage Research

The information presented about subsurface drainage installation from Curtis Knueven’s M.S. thesis consisting of four chapters with chapter one being the introduction and literature review. Chapter two presents information from a number of preliminary observations that were conducted in 2000 and 2001 to observe plow operations and to develop and test the proposed research procedure. Chapter three presents the main results of the research conducted with the Liebrecht drainage plow. Chapter four provides a summary, conclusions and recommendations for future studies. This chapter also provides a guide to help potential owners or users of pull-behind plows to better understand important factors that should be considered before purchasing and / or using a pull-behind drainage plow.
